Why Sleep Start?

Here are some common questions asked by our patients. Feel free to contact us if you have more of your own.
Sleep Start is designed for people who are starting CPAP, struggling to use their CPAP, or using CPAP but not getting the results they expect. Whether you're completely new to CPAP or simply need a second opinion, our Sleep Physiologists can help you understand and optimise your therapy.
Yes. Sleep Start is delivered by qualified Sleep Physiologists. Your clinical consultations allow us to review your therapy, answer your questions and help troubleshoot issues specific to you.
Yes. Depending on your CPAP machine, we can review your therapy data remotely or guide you through securely providing your data for review. This allows us to assess things such as usage, mask leak, pressure and residual AHI.
Mask discomfort, leaks, dryness and difficulty keeping your mask on are common CPAP problems. These issues can cause issues with the effectiveness of the machine, making treatment worse. We'll help identify what's causing the issue and guide you through practical solutions to improve comfort and treatment.
Feeling tired despite using CPAP can have several causes. We can review your treatment data, discuss your experience and help determine whether there are issues with your CPAP therapy that may need attention.
Our Sleep Physiologists can review your therapy and provide clinical recommendations based on your treatment data and symptoms. Where changes are clinically appropriate, under the AASM guidelines, we'll guide you through the next steps safely.
Sleep Start is designed to enhance your existing healthcare, not replace your doctor or sleep specialist. We focus specifically on helping you understand, use and optimise your CPAP therapy. If we identify something that requires further medical assessment, we'll recommend that you speak with your treating clinician.
